Anyone have any ironing tips for shirts that seem to always wrinkle no
matter what.
I've used steam to try to get it out first but it still wrinkles very
quickly upon wear.

Get a can of fabric sizing. It's like starch but lighter.

Also, better quality cotton shirts use longer staple cotton and won't
wrinkle as quickly.

There is a fabric detergent that has wrinkle release in it.
The name escapes me at the moment (sorry)
but it's supposed to help prevent wrinkles in the dryer and once it's on.

HTH!

Didn't get the original, so I'm piggybacking, had to delete
alt.fashion.petite because my server says it is invalid

Good old fashioned starch will do a lot for keeping shirts crisp,
though in hot weather it is a losing battle from the get go.

I'm not talking Victorian coller starched, but just a bit of spray
when ironing. Iron (dry or steam) to get most of your wrinkles out,
then spray on a mist of starch, just enough to make the fabric very
lightly damp, give it thirty seconds or a minute to soak in, and dry
iron at least til the shirt is no longer damp. Keep a damp towel
handy and run your iron over it between shirts so that you keep your
iron as clean as possible, the starch that stays on the iron will burn
and discolor your fabric otherwise.

You do not need to buy the aerosole spray starch either, you can buy
the liquid starch in the laundry section of your shop, and mix it with
water and put it in a spray bottle from the garden shop or wherever
you find them. About one part liquid starch to 6 parts water should
do. Of course you can mix it heavier if you feel the need.

The notable exception would be silk shirts, I don't generally recomend
starching those, though it can be done. I just think it kind of
defeats the purpose of wearing silk in the first place if you starch
it.
