Hello,
Soon-to-be groom here. I've been looking to buy a great
tux, but I'm not the kind to be wearing them very often, so I don't
want to spend too too much.
I was looking around, trying on tuxes from Hickey Freeman, Barney's in
the $500-600 range, all of which looked fine.
I randomly found a Joseph Abboud single-breasted tux (two
button) that fits me great, for a ridiculously low price on a clearance
rack.
The only thing is I'm not sure about the fabric -- it
says 100% wool, but doesn't specifically say "super 100". Does this
imply that it's only worsted wool?
Also, I realize the Abboud look is full (that's what the saleswoman
told me, and I see it) ... can a tailor make it slightly more closer
fitting, or is that impossible? And what kind of figure looks good in a
full-cut suit? I wear 42R with a 36 waist. I guess I have big
shoulders.
Does anybody have any experience with Joseph Abboud tuxedoes? I didn't
even know they made them.
Thanks!
