Remove label on sleeve?

Perhaps a naive question, but here goes...

I just bought a new suit and a tuxedo. They both have a small brand
label on the right lower sleeve. Am I supposed to remove this label
before wearing the suit/tuxedo? I would assume so as it seems a little
pretentious to show a label on the outside...

Yes, remove the labels, or better yet have your tailor do it. The
labels are there for rack use, so buyers can see a brand name
without taking a suit off the rack.
