All,
I'm an admitted fashion novice - and I'm looking for my first pair of
nice sandals. Any comments on what's going to the thing this summer?
I've got flip flops for the pool, but need something a little dressier
to wear out with shorts. Any comments on what's hot this year?
Thanks
JL

None. Sandals are the grossest and ugliest form of footwear for both
men and women. The only time they are appropriate is if you live on
sand (beach, desert, etc). Chances are you don't so they re not
appropriate. Same goes for flip flops. |

Most people. I'd wager to guess most people around the world do not own
sandals. |

You may want to try Birkenstocks in the Arizona style, in leather for
dress. Please feel free to wear other than the three B's of sandal
color for men (Black,Blue,Brown). You can order the Birks in Ivy Gloss
Green Leather. Another sandal type is the Chacos sandal. They sell them
in the traditional colors as well as Madrone (a reddish color) and Eden
(Green). Despite what you may hear here, men are silent and do not say
anything about what sandals you are wearing. In fact, women compliment
you when you wear classy sandals. Please be sure to get a pedicure
before wearing sandals. BTW, I am a man, and I wear Birkenstocks,
Tevas and Chacos. I wear sandals just about everywhere, including
Sunday church (with a polo shirt & dress slacks) for seventeen years,
and I have been getting pedicures for ten. In all these years, no man
on the street has said anything derogatory about my feet or sandals,
and lots of women have given me compliments. Hey, Jesus didn't wear
loafers. When Moses approached the Burning Bush, it did not say "Remove
thy high tops/boots/wingtips from thy feet". Sandal wearing is
liberating for both men and women
