Shoes w/ socks in summer

I'm in need of some serious help here. For my job (waiter) I have to were
Khaki shorts w/ various color polo shirts. I have no idea what to wear as
far as footwear. I'm trying to get away from the white socks and tennis
shoes thing. Any help would be really appreciated (colors styles ect).

I'll admit it's not the best in terms of style, especially at a
restaurant, but white will probably look better than black,
brown or other colors.

You could try a wookboot/colored wool sock combo,
but that might not be appropriate for the restaurant you're
working at.

Get some Converse Jack Purcells, and where them without socks. If
that's too difficult, find some really low cut socks and wear those.
They're comfortable, and almost invisible. And Purcells are always
in.
