Hi,

I'm going to the Middle East (Oman and Egypt in particular, maybe
elsewhere) in July, the hottest time of year there - can anyone advise me
on what is suitable attire, given the temperature (>40 degrees celcius)
and culture? One suggestion has been a dishdara, which I believe is loose
pants and a long shirt (no buttons) worn untucked that falls to around
mid-thigh and is split at the sides from near the waist. I'm quite
excited about the idea of buying some traditional garments over there, but
I don't want to present like a fool by wearing something with a
significance attached to it that I'm oblivious to. So any advice would be
most appreciated! Thanks, cheers.

Jeremy

Yeah... sure...

Great Advice

Oh, and if you're travelling to South Africa, the traditional dress is the
turban and parka, and in Iran, the mini skirt and halter top are the
preferred women's garments.
