Busy with bridal stuff! BUT but but - there are costumes on the
horizon! not quite historical, mind! A couple of Kylie things and an
ABBA outfit for a lass who works in tribute bands.
Meanwhile, I have also been preparing for the demolition and rebuilding
of my conservatory!

I finally bit the bullet and bought a digital camera. Love it!! I get sick
of people saying that they'll send me a photo of them in costume (I make and
hire costumes) and never remembering......now I'm going to take photos (with
permission) when they are trying on costumes. This week is our towns 150th
Birthday. It was founded on the discovery of gold. Everyone has left it to
the last minute for costumes and I'm up to my eyes in 1860's stuff!!

Well, I just moved back to Norway, so all my sewing stuff is still in
boxes, and it looks to stay that way for another while. We have a
tenent living in what is to be my sewing room, and once we manage to
get rid of him, we are going to have to do some major things to the
bathroom and floors (which means moving out again for a month). I
should have everything up and running before Christmas.

sewing contracts are good, and busks can wait. they don't go bad whilst
biding time.
we had a great season, but were cut short by a death in the family that led
to missing the final weekend of the festival. *sigh* it was the 35th
anniversary "party"...but family stuff has to come first. and next year
will be even better, i believe!
my last chick has flown the nest, now, so i'm hoping to get a sewing area
set up for real--not just a cart of fabric in one room, two sewing machines
stored in the living room, and the thread rolling around in a plastic
bin...well, not quite that bad, but close! if i can only persuade her to
get all of her canvases out of the living areas, and consolidate them, we'll
do well!
