What's in right now? The narrow ones or the wider ones?

I went to Marshall Fields today and all they had were the wider ones, but in
the movies and such I always see the skinny ones.

I am more into the wide ones... maybe the movies are "period" films...
because wider makes a better knot (in my opinion) and looks much more
classy.
