I just wanted to say that I am a 42 y.o. man, and I love to wear toe
rings. I started out with adjustable toe rings in 1997, but they would
pinch & crack after a while. I discovered fitted toe rings in 2003 and
have never gone without them since. Even in winter. I now wear at least
three on each foot--on the middle toes I do gold/silver/gold. This is
good when I have to go out wearing closed shoes & sneakers or Birks.
When I wear thongs or Chacos sandals, I wear eight--I put silver 2mm
rings on my pinkie toes. They certainly look good when going through
airport security, and they don't set off the detectors. I regularly go
for pedicures (usually, I'm the only man there). Ladies have all given
me positive remarks; that a man takes such good care of his feet that
he dresses them up. Men are silent, but I know they're looking. I
believe I'm giving many of them the courage to wear toe rings. I began
wearing anklets ( the kind with the wooden beads sold at Wal-Mart ) in
August 2005, and I've had no negative comments. In October, I tested
the waters and had my toenails painted a natural pearlcoat called
Cotton Candy. Again, no negative comments, so I plan to keep it up. I
see it this way; if a man can wear small earrings, large earrings that
make a 1/4 inch diameter hole in one's earlobe, nose rings, nose studs,
lip rings, piercings in his tongue & other parts of his face, he should
have no fear of wearing toe rings.
