Heavy Men's Cashmere Sweaters for Cheap?

Years ago I got a Sulka "Ted" Sweater for around $160, from a store
that was closing. This is a very heavy cashmere sweater weighing about
a pound. I've never seen any other pure cashmere item this heavy. They
retailed for about $600.

A friend tells me I was insane to pay that much, and that I should
never pay more than a hundred bucks for heavy cashmere sweaters,
because they go on sale for a hundred dollars or less every year. I
think my friend is nuts. What do you think?

Lands End Cashmere I just received a couple of cashmere sweaters I ordered from Lands End. I'm delighted with the color and feel of the sweaters -- and was quite surprised to find that each of them came with a nice buttoned cloth storage bag. Great value for $88, I think.
