How to start a new group?

have you considered starting a new group on yahoo! ? starting a
new newsgroup can be a difficult process. you have to write a
proposal, and then submit it to the powers that be, especially if
you're considering making it one of the Big 7 (it's 7, right?).

but if you're serious about starting a newsgroup, and not just a
message board, you can find all the information you need in
www.google.com.

Yahoo wants readers to sign up & register. That means you'll miss lots of
people who, like me, won't sign up for anything, & especially not with
Yahoo.

Or look at either alt.answers or news.answers
