You are bidding on a Vintage Plaid Mens Sportscoat. This coat is made
of corduroy and has no lining and no tags of any kind. The buttons are
metal and have the words EQUIPEMENTS MILITAIRES stamped on them. I
have a different coat that is size 42 and this coat is roughly the same
size, so I am proclaiming it to be around size 42. My wife the
seamstress looked it over and said the stitches are very nice and it's
in decent condition for a 25-plus year-old coat. Oddly enough, she
wants it out of the house.

The Tale of the Coat: About 25 years ago, a friend gave me some
abandoned clothing from the dry cleaning shop where he worked. This
coat was in the pile. I am an entertainer and from time to time over
the years (such as Halloween) I've worn this coat to gigs. It's
usually a big hit. It's got that Used Car Salesman/Herb
Tarlek/Late-night TV Preacher look.

When I first acquired this coat, it fit snugly. I am much heavier now
and last year at Halloween, I wore the coat to a costume party (I went
as former Alabama basketball coach Wimp Sanderson, whose love of
eye-popping plaid coats was legendary) and to my dismay I discovered it
was too small for me. I hadn't worn the coat in some years and I guess
I just outgrew it.

This coat cries out to be owned by the right person. If you are a
comedian or a musician or just like freaky green plaid, this coat could
be for you. Of course, I am selling it "as is."
